Privacy Policy
Last updated October 12, 2026. This page explains what measureowl.com processes when you convert units or send feedback.
Conversions stay local
Every conversion is calculated in your browser. The numbers and units you enter are not sent to our server or stored.

Server logs
The web server records IP address, time, page requested, browser string and status code. We use these records to keep the site running and to block abuse, and we delete them after a short time.
Feedback form
When you use the “helpful” or “needs work” buttons, we save the time, your choice, the page, the topic and your note if you write one (up to 1,000 characters). We do not save your IP address with it; a one-way hash lives for 20 seconds to curb spam. Please do not put personal details in the note. The newest 300 entries are kept, and you can ask for yours to be removed through the contact form by giving the page and approximate time.
Emails you send us
If you write to [email protected], your message and address are used only to reply, and the thread is deleted when the matter is closed.
Cookies, analytics and ads
Measure Owl sets no cookies, runs no analytics and shows no ads today. We will change this page first and ask for consent where the law requires it if that ever changes.

Content delivery
Pages go through a content-delivery and security provider which handles visitor IP addresses to route traffic and block attacks.
Children
This is a general reference tool; it does not ask for personal information from children.
Your rights
If the GDPR, UK GDPR or California CCPA applies to you, you can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of data we hold about you. Use the feedback form on the contact page, choose “Rights or removal request” and name the page. You can also write to [email protected].
Frequently asked questions
Do you save what I convert?
No. It stays in your open tab.
Does the site track me?
No analytics or advertising trackers are used today.
How do I delete a feedback note?
Use the contact form, choose “Rights or removal request” and give the page and rough time; the matching entry is deleted.
